Corvettes and Life

When I saw my first one at age 8, I knew, someday, I would own a Corvette. Little did I know how the whole story would come together to be so connected. My best friend & I were pursuing a partnership in a custom auto shop when he died unexpectedly at age 35 from a massive heart attack. Four years later, I had my 1st heart attack as my 2002 Z06 was being built. My oldest son had just graduated from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY & my youngest son was at McPherson College completing his Sr. Project, a NCRS Restoration of a 1971 Corvette Convertible. Less than a month later, I had quadruple open-heart bypass surgery. In celebration of life and 21 years after my best friend's death, I bought this 2002 Z06, built in Bowling Green during my 1st heart attack on what would have been my best friend's 56th birthday! The colors of my Alma Mater, Georgia Tech, happen to be yellow & black. To honor the Father of the Corvette, the license plate exhibits his initials and the RPO for which he is known. ZADZ06
