Building to my Corvette Passion

My original story was completed in 2015 which can be found by searching my last name. I have had my C5  Corvette coupe for twenty-six years now and it has 262,639 miles on it and is still one of the most fun cars to drive. Well a lot has happened since 2015, at that time I had three Corvettes that have now grown to seven. After my last purchase in 2010 with my Grand Sport Convertible, I stepped back into the past picking up a C3 1972 last of the steel bumper cars. I purchased the car form the original owner so I am the second owner of a fifty-two year old Corvette.

If you want a C3 you better like to work on them. I have replaced every nut, bolt, bushing, vacuum hose, ball joints, shocks, rear spring, trailing arms, you get the picture. The car was an adventure to drive when I got it and now it drives great. Then I moved on to getting a C2 1964 Coupe. This was a very nice car with a mild resto mod flavor. It had 350/350hp ZZ4 crate motor, Muncie 4 speed, mag wheels, vintage AC and really nice paint. This car needed very minimal attention and is a blast to drive.

Then last GM finally came out with the mid-engine C8 in 2020 and I had been wanting a mid-engine car for a long time and actually tried to buy a 308 GTS in the late 90’s but it did not work out. So after the reveal at our local Chevrolet dealer I put my name on the list. I was number fourteen and waited one year before taking delivery. I did not like the wait but I do like being able to get a car optioned exactly the way you want it. I love this beast! Last was the wait for a C8 Z06, again on the list as number ten and still waited two and a half years before taking delivery. I had to have a flat plane crank motor. I am very fortunate and proud to be able to have all of these Corvettes.
