The Honeymoon Is Never Over With Our Corvettes

I first became involved with Corvettes by a very good friend of mine Bob Ogle. He took me to the very First Corvette Coral in Bloomington, IL in June 1973!. (now known as Bloomington Gold) I saw about 100 Corvettes! blown away at age 16. I met a guy selling patches out of his car (MIKE YAGER) I bought one and didn't even own a Corvette! That's what started if for me, I worked 3 jobs, and thought why can't I own a Corvette. I bought my First Corvette a few months later in Oct of 1973 at age 17!. I joined the local Corvette club ( CORVETTE CLUB OF ILLINOS) in Oct off 1973 and have been a member ever since. I got married in April of 1975 and took that White 1971 Corvette Roadster 454/auto on our Honeymoon, to Orlando Florida to Disney. (see picture) Little did I know that this Corvette fever would infect me. I have owned 115 Corvettes since then. I became acquainted with Mike Yager for many years . I have even bought Corvettes from Mike. I had Mid -America Corvette supply on my speed dial. Mike sponsored our NHRA Drag 1960 Corvette for years. We still enjoy the Corvettes and all the club activities have gone to Countless Fun Fest.(even danced to the BEACH BOYS there) Looking forward to this years Fun Fest event. A big thanks to the Ogles if not for them I might be collecting Corvairs
