Love at First Sight

In 1970, I decided I wanted to purchase a Corvette, and came across a 1968 T-Top, Silverstone with Gunmetal, 427/435hp Tri-Power and fell in love. I have owned the car through times when money was hard to find, marriage, two kids, college for both, and still have the car today.

Both of my kids learned how to drive a stick shift on this Corvette and it has even gone to the Prom with my son. The color has been changed to Steel Cities Grey and kept the gunmetal interior. It is still driven on the road, and has been published in Corvette Fever along the way.

The car has recently driven around Lake Michigan, into Sleeping Bear Dunes and along the Trail of Trees. The biggest issue with driving it on the road today is stopping for gas. Seems those stops turn into half hour or longer, because of the people that want to see the car and hear the story. Amazing! Still love the car today.
