When my wife and I reached 25 years of marriage, I surprised her with a 1980 Corvette coupe. She'd been a gearhead her whole life having a 70 GTO rag top, 76 Trans Am 4 speed and a 78 Trans Am auto. She'd always wanted a Vette, however and finally got her dream car. Fast forward to 15 years, she surprised ME with my dream...a C5 convertible in victory red with black interior! We've driven this car up and down the east coast many times together, now logging 165,000 miles. It's the BEST car I've ever had and has brought us my great memories. Sadly, I just lost my love after 45 years, as she passed away in June 2024. I'll be driving the Vette to Carlisle without her for the first time but keeping her memories alive of all the fun we had in this car.
