The Day My Dream Came True

The first time that I saw a Corvette was back in 1960. It belonged to my dad's cousin and it was a 1958 two-tone red and white convertible automatic. At that time, we were in Venezuela, and it was the only Corvette in the country. I told him that one day, I was going to get one too.

About 25 years ago, I bought myself a 1988 Corvette coupe. It was in great shape, but it needed some TLC. The paint was fading, so when I took it home the first thing I did was take it to a friend that owns a body shop. At the same time, I ordered thru a greenwood kit and a set of new rubber seals, and decided to change the color from the original dark red to a 1996 Torch Red. I also upgraded the rims to 17-inch ZR1 aftermarket and this is the way it looks now.
